Government of DeBestia
DeBestia’s form of government is an oligarchy, meaning that all the control is under a small group of people.4 These individuals are mostly former members of the ISO Alliance who stayed true to the main objectives set forth by King Adam.5
Key figures in the government include:6
- Jackson Bronstein (Head of Departments)
- Avery Jennings (current Loyalist Prime Minister)
- Sheldon Cooper (Chief Scientist)
Due to the oligarchic structure, DeBestia does not have many elections.7 The only elections held are for positions of lower power, such as county leaders and, on occasion, mayors.8 There are two main political parties in the nation: the Loyalists (left), who are loyal to King Adam, and the Reformatives (right), who constantly seek to change policies.9 The Loyalists usually win the few elections DeBestia has, due to a large part of the population looking up to King Adam.10
A Brief History of DeBestia
The history of our nation is a testament to the vision of our founder, King AdamDeBest. In 2044, Adam enacted a genius, non-violent plan for world domination, which resulted in his coronation as King of the World and the establishment of DeBestia.11 A crucial step in this plan was hiring the hacker Lucifer DeVille to hack the world's systems.12
The foundation of DeBestia was managed by the ISO Alliance. However, ideological fights led to a schism, and members who did not stay true to the vision were expelled.13 These expelled members became DeBestia's enemies and vowed to destroy the nation if they could not control it.14
United under the villain Count Olaf, this group began a campaign of terror which led to the DeBestian War. Their actions included the hack of AdamDeBest Corp, the nuclear explosion of Adam City, an attempt to assassinate King Adam with carbon monoxide, and launching a missile at Antarctica to cause worldwide flooding.15 In the end, King Adam and his allies were victorious, and the villains were captured and imprisoned in the DeBestia Supermax Prison, ending the conflict.16
